information resource toolkit

monthly feature toolkit

The Skills for Care Yorkshire and the Humber Information Resource Toolkit is designed to help social care employers and people advising them to develop skills and learning in their organisations. The toolkit is also a useful resource for education and training providers in schools, colleges and universities both as a way of responding to employers' needs and for professional development of teachers and trainers.

The toolkit consists of the following chapters:

introduction

contents

  1. transforming social care
  2. developing your organisation
  3. developing your workforce
  4. supporting learning in the workplace
  5. finding support

Within each chapter the briefings outline the key points and suggest further sources of information. There are many sources, most of them free, to help employers understand the changing and often confusing picture in social care.

You can access the toolkit chapters on the links above or by using the related material box on the right hand side.

Register for updates

The toolkit will be updated three times a year, you can register here to receive an email alert when sections are updated. We will also use this information to contact you when we evaluate the toolkit to ensure that it meets you needs.
